The challenge

MyPins was stuck at MVP with poor UX, security gaps, and clunky location features. Users could drop pins but not organise them, there were no contact groups, and no real security beyond device-level access.

What I built

I led design, development, and deployment end to end, redesigning the journey from onboarding to secure pin storage and contact grouping. The build added geo-location APIs, smart contact storage and group tools, flexible location management, dual-layer privacy (device lock + in-app PIN), and a hidden-location mode with data encryption.

The result

18 custom features shipped, app load time cut 68%, 99.7% crash-free sessions, and +44% feature adoption in beta.
